This three-day course contains animated slide presentations, instructor demonstrations, hands-on labs, and review questions.

Audience
This course is intended for system administrators, system engineers, EMC partners, and software support specialists who design, optimize, and troubleshoot NetWorker 7 in a cross-platform environment.

Prerequisites
The prerequisites listed are helpful to understanding the course content and should be completed prior to registering for this course. The prerequisites for this course include:

• UNIX or Windows system administration
• Network administration in a TCP/IP environment
• SCSI device configuration, cabling, and addressing
• Courses: EMC NetWorker 7.x Administration for UNIX or Windows

55% lecture, 45% demonstrations and hands-on labs

Scope
This course covers planning the advanced NetWorker environment, sharing devices, configuring NetWorker in an NDMP environment, backing up and recovering clusters with NetWorker, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. This course does not cover SAN installation and configuration or specifics related to NetWorker Application Modules.

• Backup and recover clusters with NetWorker.
• Configure advanced device features.
• Configure autochanger sharing.
• Configure dynamic drive sharing (DDS).
• Configure NetWorker in an NDMP environment.
• Manage NetWorker performance.
• Configure NetWorker with Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
• Implement EMC License Manager.
