Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Services

Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Services removes spyware, worms, virus remnants, Trojans, and memory registries on clients and servers that typical antivirus scan engines do not detect. In addition to clean up, it repairs system registries and memory to decrease the administrative labor, recovery time, and costs of outbreaks.

A Damage Cleanup Services agent can be installed on clients running Trend Micro OfficeScan to perform automatic clean up on a regularly scheduled basis (i.e., whenever clients access the network). An agent-less version, managed by Trend Micro Control Manager or a dedicated DCS server, can be installed on one server to perform automatic clean up of machines on the network whether or not they have an antivirus program installed. Agent-less integration at the gateway with Trend Micro InterScan Web Security Suite triggers clean up* when spyware attempts to phone home.

Detailed reports allow administrators to assess damage and pinpoint infected local or remote clients for comprehensive clean up. Damage Cleanup Services reduces administrative burden with the following features: * Automates clean up of virus remnants, Trojans, and memory registries, including agent-less remote clean up of networked machines via Control Manager and agent-based clean up of clients running OfficeScan * Terminates virus processes and threads in memory, repairs the registry, removes any services and files dropped by viruses and restores any damaged files * Eases administrative burden via intelligent collaboration with Outbreak Prevention Services * Supports InterScan Web Security Suite with agent-less clean up* of spyware on infected machines upon detection of phone home attempts * Generates detailed administrative reports that identify infected and cleaned machines and executive summaries that show infection and clean up status enterprise-wide
